Additional Information about the Services
The TCM patient evaluation provides a new way of examining yourself. You will learn what elements you are composed of according to the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine. Utilizing your astrological birth chart you can expect to learn what drives your unconscious behavior, and how to mitigate your Chironic (deepest) wound. Additionally there will be advice offered regarding lifestyle, diet and exercise in accordance with your ying-yang energy balance.
The astrological Moon represents our unconscious behaviors, instinctual reactions, and our most fundamental personal needs. It drives the conduct we spontaneously engage in to make ourselves feel safe, comfortable and protected. Understanding your Moon sign enables you to make better use of the Moon’s energy, and to let it serve you. When it is brought to light and you know why you act the way you do, you can support the energy of your Sun sign.
The Moon is yin, reflective, responsive, yielding and receptive. She is the original feminine energy represented by the Mother archetype and the inner child. Yin is cooling, nurturing, and passive. It is the nutrition and succor for yang energy. Yang is hot, active and domineering. It is only as strong as the yin it consumes. The Sun is the ultimate expression of yang energy; fueling and giving light to the moon, as well as all the planets in the sky. Acting in partnership, the moon, in turn, extends solar energy further into the deepest part of our being.
When the lunar side of ourselves is understood, we can integrate this wisdom into our solar selves, becoming complete beings. This is a time when yin and yang reach a balance. They are interdependent, opposing forces. Their power lies in their ability to harmonize. Just as night turns into day, and day turns into night, there is no superiority of one over the other. They are a living process of truth, as obvious as the fact that when you are exhausted from running, you stop to rest. When you are rested, you are able to run again.
